Timothy W. Stalker

Tim has extensive executive experience in the (re)insurance industry, where he has counseled both domestic and foreign insurers and reinsurers for years. He takes a proactive approach, believing that if the matter can be resolved early and on a reasonable basis, it may preserve the long-term business relationship between the parties. Tim has mediated, arbitrated and litigated cases throughout the United States. Having spent many years in-house, Tim also understands the business aspects of the (re)insurance industry.

Tim started his career as a claims adjuster with a third party administrator in Philadelphia. After law school, his career moved quickly including the following (re)insurance industry positions:

• Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary – GRE of America
• Vice President and General Counsel – Envision Claims Management, an environmental and toxic tort claim administrator for Crum & Forster, Inc.
• Vice President and Counsel – Gerling Global
• Vice President and Chief Claim & Legal Officer for Liberty Insurance Holdings, a division of Liberty Mutual

Returning to outside practice in 2004, Tim was a partner at the following firms, most of which he chaired or co-chaired the insurance and reinsurance practice areas:
